We were asked by Makerversity to run a digital learning workshop with The Prince’s Trust teaching young people how to create patterns for digital textile print. We used the Smogasbord pattern system design by Melanie Bowles and Kathryn Round originally for the Textile Toolbox exhibition. The Pick and Mix Textile Toolbox are box of colourful geometric shapes which can be configurated into different patterns, photographed and put into repeat units ready to upload and digitally print. Generously sponsored by Bags of Love who printed 14 aprons, we can’t wait to see them next week!
